Friday 18th, we went to Kai's on the beach. Axel had been up since 05 he told me. His tablet did not work so instead he read for three hours straight- "Sune i fjällen". He is such a sweetie. I had decided not to try to make it to the Friday morning market in Huay Yang where they sell lots of fun stuff- clothes and electronics, since I still suffer quite a bit from jet lag. This gives difficulties to fall asleep and I still need the morning rest. The kids seem to be all over jetlag ever since the first day we arrived.
When we were hitting the beach we headed straight for lunch. Since there was too much wind and the tide was up by the restaurant, we headed home again and did the pool instead. Good thing, because Friday's are "Jack's days" and with good timing we hit that same restaurant down by the pier: Jack Beach resort (one finds it on google maps). This Friday Jack's had a celebration for some students that came from Bangkok, lighting a bonfire and shooting fireworks (very short but sweet- and noisy of course, thaistyle). Axel made friends with a girl his age who had a younger brother (like Sten). They lived in Vanravi and will stay as long as us, so we might see them again. She was a crab-catcher just like Axel. Jack's had changed their menu- no more banana split. Their chicken burger was a joke to what it used to be, unfortunately. Axel had Club Sandwich and was happy so was Sten who has been having chicken with rice for I don't know how many days in a row now. "Gai tod". "Don't change your bets when the race has started."
Dinner at Jacks just before sundown
Saturday 19th, was market day at Dan Singh Khon. I had pre-booked the ride with Huay Yang travel and we got up at 7 to be by the Driving range at 8:30. Two hours at the market is enough and we managed without any difficulties lay our hands on:

- 5 robots (just like the ones we have back home in Sweden from last year)
- one RC car
- yellow nailpolish
- one RC car that makes annoying sounds and can twist the front wheels
- a hip-hop like cap
- a stick (don't know- thai warrior stick maybe?)
plus
- red nailpolish
- 3 wooden serving trays (one big, two small)
- 2 sarongs
Feel free to make out who was getting what. And yes, yellow IS my favorite colour.
Drinking coconut juice by one of the tables for sale...
We headed home to go to "I am" restaurant that was supposed to have pancakes but it was closed so we ended up at Kaew's for lunch. Their kittens ( on pictures further down from previous year ) had grown up to be adult cats that the boys played a little with.
Back home we did some time in the swimming pool again. Then we went off to the Saturday food market up by the motorway. I got the "usual" food items that we used to by almost every day when we were here the first year. Axel said "Hi" to the pork-lady. She recognized and remembered him and he gave her a hug. Cute!
Back home again, such decent dinner: "Ris i påse" (=khao niao, rice in a bag), chicken with hot sauce, corndogs, fresh vegs and some tiny bits from the grill, and Chang.

After dinner we watched Julkalendern and Pinata eating "lördagsgodis" (=candy).
