Back in Huay Yang once again!
Now we are visiting this small village for the third time. Last year I didn't get much posted except for some pictures from the market in Dan-Singh-Kohn and our house S4 in Jasmine village. This year might be better? Hoewever, I just now realize I forgot my camera charger and the connection cable. Packing this year was a bit more difficult than last year it seemed although I had one whole day for it!
Axel was let to pack his handluggage on his own: The fake-leather jacket (Michael Jackson-wannabe), Quadrocopter, tablet, Minecraft magazines and a book about "The faboulous five".
Anyway. Trip went fine. We left our house in Järfälla to go to Arlanda Airport at 7.00 am Sunday morning. Monday afternoon around 4 pm local time (10 am Swedish time) we hit the house here in Huay Yang. A 3-wheel scooter was waiting for us and the house is just the same type as we stayed in the first year, a PHA-house. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 1 livingroom with kitchen corner. It is perfect for us. Now we stay in Orchid 6- village. There is around 25 houses in this village. And yes there is another Orchid 1-5. Plus Colibri, Coconut, Jasmine, Lotus, Lanthom 1-2. Also apartments at Dolphin and luxury resort at Nishaville. It is amazing how much housing there is in this area, still, you don't see much people at the beach or anywhere. Or maybe it is just us not doing the regular beach hours?
It didn't however take long until the boys were in the pool. Two other kids were already in it aged 8 and 5. They had been here for a week or so with their parents. Their parents (from Umeå in the north of Sweden) said that it has been so windy and stormy so they haven't been able to swim on the beach more than once. At the pool though, it was perfect, since we are not directly on the beach.
They told me they had to cancel their diving trip to Koh Tao since the ferries has been cancelled due to stormy weather. The woman who would arrange the trip for them did not want to sell tickets! We were planning on going there from the 6th of January. Let's see if that works out or not? We already booked hotel on the island and Mathias has "deep dive" and "night dive" on the schedule so it would be a pity miss out. I might try out some Scuba discovery if it feels right and we get over there.
So anyway. Mathias went out for food and necessities: Pad Thai Gai (chicken noodle wok), Khao Pad Goong (fried rice), Goong Kra-tiem (Shrimps in garlic) and sausage with french fries (to please the little one!) Good to be here again!
Plans this year is to
Besides this that we have already done several times there are a few new things in the plan
It might seem like a busy schedule for 5 weeks but actually most things are just happening as we go to beach or back. I just read in the forecast that it will be thunderstorms tomorrow. Let's see where that takes us! If the plans don't hold, that is no biggie anyway!
Now if I can only get some sleep...

Plans this year is to
- hit the market at Dan Singh Kohn for some spontaneus Christmas shopping
- go to beach and swim in the pool
- visit Maew's restaurant
- go to Hat Wanakorn (the beach by the national park)
- go to food markets as usual almost daily for fried chicken and red chicken w. "picnic-rice".
- take the scooter to visit Thap Sakhe
- go to the Black Mountain Water-park
- celebrate new year and
- Axel's 7yrs birthday
Besides this that we have already done several times there are a few new things in the plan
- Axel wants to go to Ban-Krut and then on to the Island of Koh Talu to do snorkeling.
- I would like to take the local train to Prachuap Kiri Khan for a day trip. We haven't planned this earlier since the schedule says 9:40 departure but actual departure can be anything from 1-2 hours later. I haven't felt like waiting for hours and then humping along a hot train with two restless kids. But they say it is an experience. Everything is shipped on the railway that doesn't have a tight schedule. People, animals, stock.
It might seem like a busy schedule for 5 weeks but actually most things are just happening as we go to beach or back. I just read in the forecast that it will be thunderstorms tomorrow. Let's see where that takes us! If the plans don't hold, that is no biggie anyway!
