Two weeks in Huay Yang

I have not written anything here lately, mainly due to two things:

- Being busy daytime and too tired at night
- Worrying over our overall health situation

What happened was that after Mathias got sick, I got sick too. I had a real pain in the tonsils and also an eye infection in one eye. Sten's cough just turned worse. To prevent this from being some bacteria infection just being passed round in the family, we decided to go to the Huay Yang nurse sponsored by the Farang Villagers. It turned out the nurse could not do much but asked us to go with the bus to Hua Hin "Bangkok Hospital" next day. So the weekly schedule turned out to be

Monday. Just relaxing at home.
Tuseday. Nurse taxi ride to hospital at 9.00 am. We missed the taxi back ( at 2 pm ) since Sten's doctors took too long. We both got ourselves goodiebags with medicines. It turned out Sten has pneumonia.
Wednesday. Nurse taxi ride back to hospital (one way it is 1,5 hour) to do a check-up. Since Sten was better the doctors were happy. Santa was in the hospital!

In the afternoon just relaxing at home, celebrating Christmas with small gifts- a cool hat, a waterproof watch and a "Jack and the pirates-ship".

We spent the afternoon making small Christmas tree ornaments that my dad gave us. "Julpyssel"

Thursday. Relaxing at home- kids have started to visit neighbour kids, Vera (8) and Egil (5). Good for them, Axel is getting really bored from this sick house! Dinner at Nong Pu.
Friday. Relaxing at home, Axel by the pool. We were about to go to Jack's so Mathias packed his fishing gear. But Sten just fell asleep so hard in the scooter on the way there so I was really worried so we went back home. He has been sweating so much during both nights and days. He has been eating OK, and the rest of body functions are ok too. We took a short trip to the morning market to have coffee in the morning.

Saturday. Trip to the Market in Dan Sing Kohn. This year they are renovating and making new market stands in cement in the down area. So the flower and woodens stands were gone. Too bad, I was looking forward to getting some wood-work again.

The big market stand on the upper market. I bought the boys two pair of jeans, a Stenspiderman pyjama and some t-shirts.

Sten got himself another robot for 25 bath. ( 5 kr / 1 dollar )

Sundried fruits: Kiwi, cherries and many more

Herbs and spices: Ginger, Galanga and more...

It was a good trip because Sten could sit and rest in the car and then just relaxing at home. In the evening we had delicious dinner at Maew's with the neighbours. Mathias had those 1000 years egg again.

One of me

Sunday. Today we did morning by the pool. For lunch we went of to @Sea-restaurant that we got a recommendation for. It is really nice- so very pretty right by the sea with green lawn, sunbeds, volleyball-net, hammock. There is some rental apartments right by it. The kitchen, however, had a really tough time in making the servings correct and in reasonable time.

Some beach pics

Tonight we went down to the Nishaville-fair to have dinner. Turned out we got Chicken with Sticky Rice  and Hot Pot! I'll know tomorrow if this was a good idea or not.  We enjoyed it for the time!

The kids got themselves some RCs to play with tomorrow!

Final days on Koh Tao

After the second birthday cake of the year, the one for my birthday, we had no plans. We could go to Bangkok or south to Hua Hin or Huay Yang. Mathias wanted to take Axel diving or snorkeling, so we decided to go to Koh Tao. Could be fun showing the kids where mom and dad had been so many times. Took an early ferry Friday, a day with no wind (1m/s). The Lompraya pier in Chumpon Since decision was made quite hastily, we had an interesting journey to Chumpon. First one taxi to Huay Yang where we planned to have dinner at Maew's, but Maew's was closed. She was there since they have a shop which was open.  However, they don't serve food. She has lost a lot of weight and seem to be really sick, so I guess that is why. We had to eat so we went on to "Blå stolarna". A little tricky since they don't speak much English. Mathias got a ride with the nearby hairdresser back to Maew's to wait for the taxi driver. I ate with the kids in the meantime. No taxi came ...

Happy New Year 2015!

Today was Axels 7th birthday! I can't believe how much he has grown. He sure isn't that little boy anymore.  Last night we went to Kaew's restaurant for New Year's Party. Sten fell asleep at 8.30. We did some more drinks and desserts and headed back home one hour later. The food was good and we could have had 5 free drinks on the ticket but we did not manage that, as you probably understand. Kaew did not have as big a party as last year. Maybe people choose the beach (Jack's, Nong Pu's or some new place this year?) Last year it was crowded.  She had the girls doing traditional thai dancing like last year, very impressive and very cute. I will upload picture later. ( I still haven't found a way of charging my camera's battery so I am relying on Axel and Mathias's photos whenever I get a hold of them. Took one with the tablet though, of my sweet boys! Today we went to Black Mountain Water Park like previous years to celebrate Axel's birth...
